Contemporary artist Rex Hausmann is a San Antonian, who began his art education at UTSA and graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design on scholarship with a BFA (2006) and MFA in painting (2016). His artist philosophy remains simple “Grow Where You Are Planted,” which is displayed behind Phebe, the bougainvillea. Rex is represented by Waterfall Mansion in New York City and works from his studio at Hausmann Millworks. Rex has shown and lectured nationally and internationally, appearing in many speaking functions including TEDx and NPR.
